Anita Mittal is a technology expert who is working with ID4D initiative and the Social Protection and Jobs Global practice in designing and implementation of Digital Identification and Integrated Social Protection Information Systems in the Sub-Saharan Africa region.
She has extensive experience in the implementation of large eGovernance projects including Aadhaar (ID program of India for 1.2 bn people), income tax litigation management system, vocational education MIS for the Government of India. She was leading the Open Standards, Open Source and Interoperability framework projects in the eGovernance division of the Ministry of Information Technology, Government of India. She is also consulting as an International consultant for the Ministry of Finance, Government of Albania.
She is a certified project management professional with over 2 decades of experience in IT industry and has worked on development of web applications in various technologies in UK, USA and India. She has a Master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai, India and Bachelors in Computer Science and Engineering from Osmania University, India.
