Anjani Kumar Singh is a Senior Consultant with the Agriculture Global Practice of the World Bank, working in the South Asia Region. He has more than 20 years of experience in designing and operationalizing large-scale rural development programs in the areas of rural livelihoods and enterprise promotion, community finance, agricultural value chain development, monitoring & evaluation and project management. Since 2014, Anjani has been working as Resident Consultant with the World Bank for National Rural Livelihoods Project (NRLP and now NRETP), providing strategic implementation support to the states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and several others in India. Anjani is also supporting World Bank task teams in Afghanistan and Nigeria towards designing of women’s economic empowerment program and taking the Indian experience of promoting women’s livelihoods to Africa and other countries of South Asia. Before joining the World Bank, Anjani has worked in leadership roles in development programs and projects with Government of India, PRADAN, SRIJAN and AKRSP. Anjani is a graduate of Columbia University, School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), NY, USA, where he earned a master’s degree in international affairs with specialization in Economic and Political Development.
