Ankur Nagar is a Design Thinking Specialist at the World Bank’s Global Media Development Program. He brings information and learning design expertise to the program’s capacity building initiatives, and helps develop associated open data solutions. He began his open data journey at the Bank's Open Finances program and recently collaborated with the Bank’s India management team on the new Open India app. He has also worked on conceptualizing data-driven solutions for agriculture and disaster risk management projects. Currently in Washington DC, he has been evangelizing open data use through Open Development Roadshows in India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. He also pitched challenges and participated in the inaugural Code For India hackathons at Stanford and Bangalore, and the OGP hackathon at Brasilia.
