Anna Berdzenadze

Education Specialist

Anna Berdzenadze is an Education Specialist in the World Bank’s Europe and Central Asia (ECA) region, where she supports education portfolio and policy dialogue in the South Caucasus. Her work focuses on improving education quality, equity, and system performance, and on translating analytical evidence into operational and policy reforms. She is based in Tbilisi, Georgia.

Anna joined the World Bank in 2019 at the Georgia Country Office, initially serving as an Operations Analyst. In this role, she provided operational and analytical support to the country program, contributing to portfolio implementation, results monitoring, and cross-sectoral policy dialogue.

Prior to joining the World Bank, Anna worked at the U.S. Millennium Challenge Corporation Georgia Account as a Program Coordinator, supporting the implementation of a USD 140 million education sector grant and contributing to large-scale reforms in STEM education quality and system strengthening. Before MCC, she served as a Program Coordinator at Macmillan Education, where she worked on teacher policy and capacity-building initiatives.

Anna brings experience across public, private, and international organizations, with a strong focus on education policy, financing, and implementation. She holds an MBA from Tbilisi State University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education Futures from the University of Edinburgh.
