Anna joined the World Bank from Scotland in 2019, where she worked for Education Scotland, the national educational improvement agency as Her Majesty’s Senior Inspector for Education (HMSIE) and as their Lead Officer for International Engagement.
Anna has extensive educational knowledge and experience gained from working for over thirty years with children, young people, and adults, across early years, primary, secondary, special, vocational, and tertiary education throughout the UK and internationally. She has worked as a teacher, a principal educational psychologist, and in her capacity as a HMSIE, she honed her skills in education system improvement at the level of the class, school, district, and country.
Anna is currently working across a number of countries in the MENA region and more widely including Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Egypt, and Malawi.
