Anna Costafrolaz is a Senior Digital Specialist at the World Bank, based in Mozambique. She leads and contributes to large-scale digital transformation across Sub-Saharan Africa. Anna’s portfolio includes national digital acceleration programs, rural connectivity and digital inclusion initiatives, and cross-sector work at the intersection of digital and energy. She works closely with line ministries, regulators, development partners, and private operators to translate strategic objectives into implementable solutions. Before joining the World Bank, Anna worked extensively in fragile, conflict, and violence (FCV) contexts, focusing on socio-economic research, development economics, governance, and service delivery in low-income and post-conflict settings. She holds master’s degrees in economics, statistics, and public policy.
