Anne Hagood has served as the UN Peace & Development Advisor (PDA) since June 2022 supporting the UN Country Team to build national capacities for conflict prevention. Her work focused on transitional justice, governance reform, prevention, and resilience, as well as on the empowerment of women and young people in political decision making and sustainable development. Prior to working in Burundi, Anne was the PDA in Jordan between 2018 and 2022, and in Iraq between 2015 and 2018.
Fluent in French, English, Spanish and Arabic, Anne focused her work and research on Middle Eastern politics, security, and diplomacy prior to joining the UN.
