Anneli Rautiainen works as a Senior Education Specialist in the Global Unit and is a member of Teachers’ Team. Prior to this position at the World Bank she has been developing Finnish education as a head of Basic Education, ECE and Professional Development at the government level. She has also worked as a principal and teacher in the city of Helsinki and at the Helsinki University Teacher Training School. Anneli was a head of Innovation Centre at the Finnish National Agency for Education as part of larger transformation effort towards more nimble governance. The Centre was the first agency-level innovation unit in Finland, an experiment of itself. Anneli Rautiainen has been a keynote speaker and panelist in over 25 countries and five continents and has been a member of various international education networks. She has Master’s degree in Education from the University of Helsinki.
