Antonia is a consultant with the Poverty and Equity Global Practice and a doctoral candidate in Economics at the University of Oxford. Her research interests lie in the areas of development, migration, and labor economics, with a particular focus on the economic integration of refugees. In recent work, she seeks to understand the role of mental health and social networks in determining labor market outcomes, how refugee entrepreneurs can best be supported, as well as the impact of cash transfer programs on households and markets. Antonia has extensive experience implementing studies aiming to better understand the socioeconomic situation of vulnerable groups, evaluate the impact of shocks on people’s lives, and improve livelihoods opportunities for displaced communities through projects with the World Bank and the Oxford Refugee Studies Centre. She holds an MPhil in Economics from the University of Oxford.
