Aquiles Almansi is a Lead Financial Sector Specialist in the Financial Architecture and Banking Systems Unit (FFSAB), Financial Systems Global Practice, Financial and Private Sector Development Vice Presidency (FPD), the World Bank. He has been preparing and delivering financial-crisis simulation exercises since 2009. He developed the communications platform used in these exercises, and is currently focusing on the use of natural language processing technologies to evaluate the large amount of text data they generate. Prior to joining the Bank in 2002, he served as a Member of the Board of Argentina's Central Bank, worked in the private sector at BNP-Paribas, Invesco Global AM , and Citigroup AM, and taught at UCEMA, UTDT, and UdeSA in Argentina, and the universities of Chicago and Michigan-Ann Arbor in the US. He holds a PhD. in Economics from the University of Chicago.
