Arati Belle is in the World Bank’s South Asia Climate Change and Disaster Risk Management Unit, based in Washington DC. She is the regional coordinator on Hydromet, Early Warning and Climate Services for South Asia and leads a number of related activities in Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Bhutan and has supported implementation of the investment in Nepal. Ms. Belle brings over 16 years of operational experience in the World Bank, GEF and Adaptation Fund, with technical expertise in the areas of climate change resilience, disaster risk reduction, natural resources management and environmental sustainability as well as on Monitoring and Evaluation. In addition to South Asia, Ms. Belle has led and worked on climate information and resilience, and water and natural resources management operations in the Africa and Latin America and Caribbean regions. |
