Ariel Yepez worked at the Bank between 2008 and 2014. As a senior energy specialist, he was responsible for identifying, proposing and implementing energy projects consistent with the World Bank sustainable development agenda. Mr. Yepez worked for the Mexican Ministry of Finance as General Director of Revenue and Pricing Policies, as Bussines Development Manager and Chief Economist of PEMEX and immediately prior to joining the Bank, he served as a counselor in the Board of Directors at the Inter-American Development Bank. Mr. Yepez has published extensively in the areas of energy and public finance and he holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago. Currently is Energy Division Chief at Inter-American Development Bank.
