Agriculture Specialist at the World Bank

Armine Juergenliemk is an agriculture specialist at the World Bank. Her work focuses on rural development, climate-smart and digital agriculture.  Before the World Bank, Armine worked at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Rome and New York, where she focused her work on climate change and sustainable natural resources management. Previously, Armine also worked for UNDP, GIZ, Soil Science Institute in Hamburg, and the Armenian Development Agency. Armine is an author of a number of peer-reviewed articles, guidebooks, policy briefs, and online learning courses and provided capacity development support in Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Kenya.  Armine holds a Ph.D. degree in Earth Sciences from the University of Hamburg, MSc in Forestry from the University of Göttingen, Germany, MSc in Conservation and Land Management from the University of Wales, United Kingdom.
