Arpita is a Financial Sector Consultant with the Financial Inclusion, Access and Infrastructure team of the Finance, Competitiveness and Innovation Global Practice of the World Bank Group. Her areas of work mainly focus on use of fintech and disruptive technologies for increasing financial inclusion and access. She also works on financial consumer protection related country diagnostics. As a lawyer qualified in India, she has previously worked as a legal consultant to banks and financial institutions on various regulatory and transactional issues related to development financing, security sharing, and corporate debt restructuring. Arpita holds a masters degree from The Fletcher School, Tufts University where her fields of study were development economics, international business and political economy.
