Currently based in Jakarta as the Task Manager of World Bank’s PFM Program, Mr. Arun Arya has been a leader in governance and public sector management with over 25 years of extensive operational experience in 14 countries spanning across South Asia, Middle East and North Africa, Eastern Europe, Africa, Central America and the East Asia and Pacific regions. He has proven track-record of policy-making and public administration as part of the Indian Administrative Service under Government of India; that of influencing legislations, policies, design and execution of government programs as an advisor to the government while working for the World Bank and DANIDA; and an independent evaluator as a Senior Evaluation Officer in the Independent Evaluation Group of the World Bank Group. He currently manages a large Public Finance Management Multi Donor Trust Fund in Indonesia that supports Government’s vision of ‘Collecting More and Spending Better’ through improving the performance orientation of its revenue and expenditure policy and management at both central and subnational levels.
