Mrs. Åsa Knudsen Sterte joined SEB in 2021 and work as a senior advisor and as a team manager at the division Climate & Sustainable Finance, mandated to identify areas where financial mandates can help solve societal challenges – and develop and implement solutions through collaboration with clients.
Before joining SEB Mrs. Knudsen Sterte worked at the Swedish Ministry of Finance with climate and environmental policy and sustainable investments. During this time, she negotiated the EU sustainable finance regulations on behalf of the Swedish Government, that is now affecting European investors and companies. She also lead the project to develop the Green Framework for the first Swedish Sovereign Green Bond that was issued in September 2020 where SEB acted as Structural Advisors.
Previous to that, Mrs. Knudsen Sterte has worked within asset management and as an analyst at the Swedish Central Bank and at the National Institute of Economic Research.
With a broad public/private sector experience, she is advising borrowers and investors on sustainable investment strategies as well as exploring new financial solutions to address environmental and societal challenges.
