Ashutosh Raina has 8 years of experience in designing and implementing jobs and livelihood programs in conflict and displacement settings in South Asia and Africa. Ashutosh is currently working with projects in South Sudan, Uganda, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Republic of Congo and Democratic Republic of Congo.
 
Prior to the World Bank, Ashutosh worked for the Government of India’s National Rural Livelihoods Mission to design statewise strategies for skilling rural poor youth across India. He also designed and coordinated a large scale jobs and skills development program for youth in conflict affected Kashmir valley. Prior to this, he worked for the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, where he worked on skills development, labor and employment policies and coordinated a private sector led livelihood initiative in Sonbhadra, a left-wing extremism affected district. He has also worked on education and workforce development programs in the United States.
Ashutosh has an undergraduate degree in engineering from the University of Mumbai and a graduate degree in public policy from the Johns Hopkins University.
