Assane is currently Education Specialist based in Guinea where he is in charge of the Education portfolio which include the first result-based financing project in Education in Guinea, Project for Result in Early childhood and Basic Education (P167478) and the stepping up skills project (P146474) that aims to boost the employability and employment outcomes of Guinean youth in targeted skills programs. Prior joining the Bank as ETC in 2015 then Bank staff in 2017, Assane worked for the Ministry of Education in Senegal and was specialized in planning and public finance focusing on reforms that introduced results-based management through Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF).
As bank staff he has been involved in several and diverse analytical work in the Education sector and youth employment in Guinea and AFW (Public expenditure Review, Digital Economy assessment, state deployment resources for better services delivery, policy note on Jobs, Informality and Urban Youth). Assane has a master’s degree in mathematics from the University Cheikh Anta Diop of Dakar (UCAD) and a Graduate Degree in Banking and Finance from the West Africa Center of Training and Banking Studies at Central Bank of WAEMU States (COFEB). He has also taught high school students in mathematics for several years.
