Aude-Sophie Rodella is the Lead Economist for the World Bank Water Global Practice in the East Asia and Pacific (EAP), where she leads the analytical and policy dialogue on water-writ-large issues.
Dr Rodella has worked on various sustainable development and poverty reduction issues at the World Bank across low and middle-income contexts in four regions (Latin America and the Caribbean, Africa, South Asia, and now East Asia and Pacific) and previously for NGOs and other international organizations. She has extensive experience leading cutting-edge analytics to overcome data and evidence gaps from the global to the sub-national level, most recently leading the World Bank flagship report The Hidden Wealth of Nations: The Economics of Groundwater in Times of Climate Change.
She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Center for Studies and Research on International Development (CERDI, France) and two master’s degrees in development economics and political science from the Fletcher School at Tufts University and Sciences-Po Paris. She speaks French, English, Spanish and Portuguese.
