Auguste T. Kouamé has been the World Bank Country Director for the Republic of Türkiye since May 2019. Prior to taking this role, he served as Director of the department of Human Development and Economic Management at the Independent Evaluation Group (IEG) of the World Bank Group. An economist and Côte d’Ivoire national, Auguste joined the World Bank as a Young Professional in 1996, and has held economist and managerial positions in the Bank's Middle East and North Africa and Latin America and the Caribbean regions.
