Awa Diallo is a Consultant with the Primary Health Care Performance Indicator (PHCPI) team at the World Bank. She holds a Master of Science in Public Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Awa has three years of experience working in public health and global health engaging in community health systems strengthening activities, innovative planning for primary health care, and adolescent health programming with organizations like Health Alliance International, the Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs, and UNICEF. She spent the past year building upon PHCPI’s efforts to integrate gender-responsive and sensitive assessment into their measure of different dimensions of primary health care. Her research interests include Adolescent girls and young women’s (AGYW) sexual and reproductive health (SRH), applications to gender analysis within health research and interventions, integrated health models, health policy intervention analysis, implementation, and sustainability of community-based health programs.
