Ayesha Khurshid is an incoming Young Professional in the Governance Global Practice of the East Asia and Pacific Region. Ayesha joined the World Bank in 2021 in the Governance and Institution Building unit within the Development Impact Evaluation Department, and as part of the Bureaucracy Lab. She has led analytical assessments of public administrations in over 12 countries, with a focus on Human Resource Management and GovTech. Ayesha also supports work on Governance in Sectors, including recent analytical work on Human Resources for Health in Mali and Madagascar, and climate change readiness of the public administration in Poland. Ayesha has contributed to global knowledge products on Governance, including her work on the Global Survey of Public Servants and Government Analytics. Prior to joining the World Bank, she was a Consultant at Oxford Policy Management where her work centered around evaluating health and education interventions in Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, and Sierra Leone. Ayesha holds an MSc in Applied Social Data Science from the London School of Economics and Political Science and an MSc in Economics for Development from the University of Oxford.
