Anka joined the World Bank, Indonesia Country Office since January 2020 as Natural Resources Management Specialist. Her roles include carry out in-depth technical assessments of marine and fisheries management issues in Indonesia, conduct natural resource policy dialogue, and lead and/or support the development and implementation of environment or natural resources operations, technical assistance or analytical work
Prior to joining the World Bank, Anka worked for the Nature Conservancy (TNC) Indonesia as the Ocean and Coast/Fisheries Senior Policy Manager for 4 years. Her responsibilities were to develop, implements, liaises, and coordinates with the Government of Indonesia and other relevant parties on the priority policy initiatives of the TNC Indonesia. Prior to joining TNC, Anka worked for the Australian Department of Agriculture and Water Resources (based in the Australian Embassy, Jakarta) as Senior Policy Officer for almost 10 years. Her main role was to provide policy analysis, advice and recommendations on the bilateral trade of agricultural products between Australia and Indonesia (i.e quarantine regulations, sanitary and phytosanitary measures, animal health protocols, non-tariff technical barriers), as well as managing relationship with key Indonesian ministries and industries. Over the period of 2008 to 2010, Anka was assigned as the Program Manager of the Indonesia-Australia Joint Public Information Campaign on Illegal Fishing, a bilateral cooperation program between the Australian Government and the Indonesian Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries focusing on public outreach activities to reduce IUU Fishing and promote responsible fishing practices.
Anka graduated from Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) majoring marine science. She then earned her master degree in marketing management.
