Bailo, a Guinean national, joined PPIAF in June 2012. Bailo is a Program Officer and oversees PPIAF's West and Central Africa portfolio. In her role as the Program Officer, she provides substantive operational and analytic support to PPIAF West, Central and North Africa regional team in business development, preparation, review, reporting and supervision of PPIAF funded activities. She also supports the effective implementation of its business plan in the region -one of PPIAF’s highest priority regions.
Prior to joining PPIAF, she worked for the Ministry of Finance in Guinea (at the Division of Economic studies and forecast). She was responsible for the design, monitoring, and evaluation of programs and public investment projects; the economic budget; and the design and implementation of specific studies on the Guinean economy. She also worked for GIZ for two years as an operation analyst in supporting women (business own-enterprise) in rural and peri-urban areas to build capacities and facilitate access to finance. Bailo holds an M.A. in International Economics from the University of Clermont Ferrand (CERDI) in France.
