Balakrishnan Madhavan Kutty is a Rural Development Specialist at the World Bank, working in the South Asia region. He works on micro and small enterprise development across agriculture and rural livelihoods projects. Bala’s main professional focus is local governance and economic development, small businesses, social enterprises and indigenous communities.
Prior to World Bank, he led large-scale rural development initiatives with Aga Khan Development Network, Tata Group and Government of Kerala, India. Bala is a Fulbright alumnus and graduate of Harvard Kennedy School, Cambridge and Institute of Rural Management Anand, India.
