Banu Turhan Kayaalp is a Knowledge Management Analyst at the World Bank Treasury based in Washington, DC. She develops and implements communication strategies to help World Bank clients understand financial products and financial solutions offered by the Bank. She works with technical experts to turn highly technical information into accessible content for daily consumption by external audiences. In this capacity, she produces and disseminates written and digital content such as product notes, case studies, blog posts, press releases, website content, videos, and social media posts. She also leads Treasury’s communication efforts for the LIBOR transition.
In her prior role at the World Bank, she designed and implemented the Government Debt and Risk Management (GDRM) Program’s Communication Strategy for more than six years.
Ms. Turhan Kayaalp has over 25 years of experience working in the marketing/communication capacity. First as a Brand-, and Marketing- Manager for Procter and Gamble, the fast-moving consumer goods company, and later at the World Bank. She is the recipient of three World Bank Finance Partners Performance Awards for the GDRM Program, LIBOR transition, Innovative Financing in Africa and MENA, and a Trailblazer Innovation Award from Procter and Gamble.
Ms. Turhan Kayaalp has a Master’s in Business Administration degree from City University, London, UK.
