Bassam Sabbagh is the Head of Service of the Urban Environment at the Ministry of Environment in Lebanon. Bassam has more than 23 years of professional experience in the environmental field in Lebanon since he joined MOE coming from the private sector where he worked for 4 years at Dar Group. He served as a focal point for several programmes on environmental abatement and pollution prevention particularly in relation to solid waste management including Horizon 2020, Switchmed, and WES. Bassam has a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Works Engineering from Saint Joseph University, Lebanon.
