Dr. Baudouin Makuma is a medical doctor specializing in public health. He has over 15 years of experience in project management and in strengthening the national healthcare system, over seven years of it at an intermediate level in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Baudouin has worked on World Bank-funded projects for 11 years. He is responsible for managing the REDISSE Project which aims to strengthen disease surveillance systems and promote a One Health approach. Baudouin has extensive experience in the fight against tuberculosis and managing responses to major epidemics of Ebola, meningitis, monkeypox, and the COVID-19 pandemic.
