Beldina Auma is a Senior Communications Officer in the World Bank’s Africa Region. She works on various aspects of communications: country, sector, outreach, strategic linkages and media. She is currently focusing on implementing a communications program for the Bank's Africa Diaspora Program, which includes strategic linkages with key diaspora groups, such as the Congressional Black Caucus, Constituency for Africa and the African American Unity Caucus. She has worked on country communications programs for Angola, Botswana, Comoros, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Her sector communications work included supporting HIV/AIDS, Malaria, Tuberculosis, Education, Gender, Youth and Disability programs. She has worked with United Nations Agencies, international NGOs and media organizations. She holds an MA in Communications from Howard University, and a BSc in Journalism from the University of Tennessee.
