Bénédicte Baduel is a senior economist at the World Bank in the South Africa Country Office. Previously, she worked at the International Monetary Fund where she was an economist in the Middle East and Central Asia Department. She has worked on several emerging and developing economies in Africa, Latin America and the Middle East. Her analytical work focuses on the connection between macroeconomic and structural policies, especially inclusive growth. Bénédicte holds a PhD in Economics from Sorbonne Nouvelle University.
