Ben, a French national, joined the Bank in 2004 as a consultant and became staff in 2011. He has worked in various assignments including in Cambodia, Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Tanzania, Kenya, and Washington D.C. Through his career, Ben has worked on complex post-conflict situations in Africa, focusing mainly on Disarmament, Demobilization & Reintegration, Forced Displacement, and rural development.  In East Asia and Pacific Ben has focused on community-led development, livelihood activities, childcare and nutrition and, building trust at local level using social accountability mechanisms.

Ben has a track record of building partnerships with clients, donors and other stakeholders, including donors (Australia, Germany, Switzerland), UN peacekeeping missions, UN agencies (UNHCR, UNDP, ILO and FAO), governments, CSOs (World Vision, ACTED, IRC), the African Union and community-based organizations in the Great Lakes region in Africa and Cameroon. Ben is currently based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia as Task Team Leader of the following projects in Cambodia: i) Implementation of the Social Accountability Framework, ii) Community-based childcare project, iii) Livelihood Enhancement and Association of the Poor project and, iv) gender programmatic analytics activities, and in the Lao PDR: i) Poverty Reduction Fund and ii) Community Livelihood Enhancement and Resilience.

Ben holds a Masters of Science (MSc) in Management Information System and Spatial Application from the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées in Paris, France.
