Benjamin Reese is a Senior Operations Officer with the Fragility, Conflict and Violence (FCV) group in the World Bank working across South Asia. Ben brings more than 20 years of experience across development; humanitarian; and FCV issues. He has worked for the World Bank, bilateral donors, the private sector, and the UN system across a range of management, operational, and policy roles. Prior to joining the Bank, Ben worked for UNICEF as an Operations Specialist in Ethiopia and was AusAID’s Country Manager in Nepal where he also worked for the UN Resident Coordinator managing the UN Peace Fund for Nepal. Ben started his development career working on monitoring and evaluation issues in the private sector. He has undergraduate degrees from the Australian National University, with a thesis on post-colonial studies, and a Masters of International and Community Development from Deakin University.
