Bernard Obika is currently the Team Leader for the High-Volume Transport (HVT) Applied Research Programme. Prior to joining the HVT Team, he was the Managing Director at Roughton Group. Bernard has over 30 years of experience in transportation and infrastructure finance. Previous employers include the World Bank in Washington D.C, DFID and Owen Williams. He has been directly responsible for overall direction and management of over 50 major infrastructure projects, predominantly in Africa, Central Asia, The Pacific, the UK, and Europe. These projects have been funded by private clients as well as most of the major MDB’s. He has successfully delivered these projects through leadership; results focus and ability to manage and foster productive partnership and collaboration.
