Bernardo is responsible for IFC's Advisory on Public-Private Partnerships in Brazil. Before joining IFC in 2015, Bernardo was Executive Director of the Development Bank of Minas Gerais, responsible for the commercial, middle office, structured operations and new business areas, and Director of PPP and Concession Projects at the Brazilian project structuring company (EBP). Bernardo also held executive positions in the government of Minas Gerais, as Deputy Secretary of Planning and Management and President of the State Finance and Budget Council.
Bernardo holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics, and a Master's degree in Economic Regulation, both from the Federal University of Minas Gerais in Brazil.
