Bertram Boie is an investment policy expert in the World Bank Group’s Trade and Competitiveness Global Practice. As a member of the Investment Climate team, he advises client countries on best practices in international FDI matters with a particular focus on West Africa. Bertram has worked on trade and investment matters for international organizations as well as for the private sector. He holds a PhD from the World Trade Institute in Berne (Switzerland), in which he analyzed the shifting patterns in investment protection schemes in bilateral investment treaties between European countries and China.
