Bhavya Srivastava

Bhavya Srivastava is a PhD Candidate in Economics at Georgetown University. She was previously a Robert S. McNamara fellow hosted by the Sustainability and Infrastructure unit in the World Bank’s Development Research Group. Her research focuses on the impacts of climatic shocks such as high temperatures on human capital formation, and the relationship between land pollution and household migration decisions. Her work utilizes household surveys, administrative datasets, as well as remote sensing technology to inform her research methodology. Prior to her doctoral studies, Bhavya worked at J-PAL South Asia studying the energy-water nexus in India. She has a BA in Economics from Lady Shri Ram College, India, and an MA in Economics from Boston University.
