Bingjie Hu is an Economist at the World Bank Beijing Office. Previously she worked at the World Bank South Asia Chief Economist Office. Bingjie’s research focuses on development and governance issues and the quality of institutions. Prior to joining the World Bank, she worked as Senior Economist at Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria in Hong Kong, and as a consultant at UNICEF in New York. Bingjie holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Maryland, a M.Sc. in Economics from the London School of Economics and a B.A. from Renmin University of China.
