Camille Landais is Professor of Economics at the London School of Economics and Political Science, where he has been on the faculty since 2012. His research spans public economics, with a focus on taxation, unemployment insurance, gender inequality, and social insurance design. He is currently co-editor of the American Economic Review and director of STICERD. He previously served as Chairman of the French Council of Economic Advisers and Co-Chair of the Franco-German Council of Economic Experts. He is a Research Fellow at the Institute for Fiscal Studies and the Centre for Economic Policy Research. He holds a PhD in Economics from the Paris School of Economics and is the recipient of the Philip Leverhulme Prize, the AEJ Best Paper Award, and the Young Economist Award from the International Institute of Public Finance, among other honors.
