Camilla is as Senior Program Officer at the Nordic Trust Fund, Governance Global Practice. She is based in Washington D.C.
Camilla has over 15 years’ experience working in international development, both as a policy specialist and as a program manager. Before joining the World Bank in 2017, she worked for Sida, UNICEF and the UN Resident Coordinator's system. Camilla has lived and worked in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Palestine, Zambia and Lao PDR. Her last posting was with Sida as Deputy Head of Cooperation at the Swedish Embassy in the DRC. She has also been working as Lead Analys/ Program Manager in Palestine and as Lead Policy Specialist at Sida’s department for Civil Society working with the enabling environment for CSOs.
Camilla has a Master in Political Science from Lund University in Sweden and a Master in Poverty and Development from the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) in the U.K. Inspired by her work in the DRC she started a PhD in 2013 on state-building, and how the relationship between the government and the donors in the country affects the state-building process. The research is being undertaken at the Governance Department at IDS.
