Camille Nuamah is currently an Operations Advisor at the World Bank’s Africa Development Effectiveness Unit and has more than 20 years of experience in country strategy and operations. She was Country Manager for Albania during 2007-10, for Nicaragua during 2010-14, and for Zimbabwe during 2014-17. Previously Camille held various positions in the former Poverty Reduction and Macroeconomics network of the World Bank, including as Advisor for the Europe and Central Asia region. She is an author/co-author of the several studies, including a seminal report on competitiveness, Ghana - International competitiveness: opportunities and challenges facing non-traditional exports in 2001, and the first country economic memorandum for the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States Towards a new Agenda for Growth in 2005. Prior to joining the Bank, Camille worked in the Planning Institute of Jamaica as an Economist. She completed an M.Phil in Economics at the University of Cambridge, and doctoral studies in Economics at New York University.
