Carlos Bellas Lamas is a Senior Transport Specialist at the World Bank in Brasilia and manager of transport projects in Brazil, including electric BRT, safe and resilient roads and rural access, and drones for development or smart mobility. He has master's degrees in civil engineering from the University of A Coruña (Galicia, Spain) and in International Business Management from the Center for Economic Studies (Madrid, Spain). He holds a degree in Economics and in Geography and History from the National University of Distance Education (Madrid, Spain). He is passionate about innovation and sustainable development in transport to enable economic growth that is respectful of biodiversity, the environment, and of social inclusion.
