Carmine Soprano works in the Trade & Competitiveness Global Practice focusing on Informal Trade (primarily in Africa). He joined the World Bank Group in 2013, previous to which he gained experience with the Inter-American Development Bank, UNDP Malawi, international NGOs and the private sector. His technical expertise also covers women economic empowerment, youth entrepreneurship, and skills development. Carmine holds a Master’s Degree in Economics from Tor Vergata University of Rome, Italy, and speaks fluent English, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian (mother tongue).
