Caroline Ochieng is an a Irish Research Council-Marie Curie postdoctoral research fellow at Ryan Institute, National University of Ireland Galway. Her research focuses on understanding user perspectives on household energy interventions, and how policy responses can be aligned to user needs to enhance their uptake.
Between June 2018 and June 2020 she was on secondment to World Bank ESMAP where she provided core support in implementation of UK Aid funded Modern Energy Cooking Services Program and World Bank cookstove operations in Africa, including the Kenya Off-grid Solar Access Project (KOSAP). Prior to this she was a Research Fellow at Stockholm Environment Institute where she designed and led various research initiatives on household energy access and its multi-sectoral impacts.
Caroline has a PhD in Public Health & Policy from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, a Master of Science in Public Health and a Bachelor of Environmental Studies from Kenyatta University.
