Caroline Tassot

Senior Economist

Caroline Tassot is a Senior Economist and Task Team Leader with the Western and Central Africa region of the World Bank. In her current role, she leads the Program for Results supporting the government of Benin in establishing a productive social safety net and creating an adaptive social protection system. Caroline is also the lead for Benin in the West Africa Unique Identification for Regional Integration and Inclusion (WURI) Project, which aims to develop regionally interoperable foundational digital identifiers, improving access to services. As a regional climate change focal point for the Social Protection and Jobs team, she supports teams in the design of climate-sensitive operations in Western and Central Africa. She previously worked in the Latin America and the Caribbean region as Task Team Leader of the Haiti program and supporting Brazil, Jamaica, and Saint Lucia portfolios. Prior to joining the Bank, Caroline worked as an economist at the OECD Development Centre in Paris. Caroline holds a masters in development economics from Sciences Po Paris and a PhD in applied economics from the RAND graduate school.
