Caroline Vagneron is the Special Assistant to the People Vice-President, Mamta Murthi, where she contributes to strategic initiatives on health, education and skills, gender, and social protection. During her career at the Bank, Caroline has worked in Africa, the Middle East, South Asia, the Caribbean, both in operations and in communications. She has been actively engaged on fragility, conflict, and violence; social inclusion; human development in fragile contexts; the intersection of humanitarian and development efforts, including forced displacement; and urban violence. Previously, she led the knowledge and learning program for the World Bank’s FCV Group and managed the bi-annual Fragility Forum. She holds a master’s in political science and in Contemporary History from La Sorbonne University in Paris.
