Catalina Ramirez works for the World Bank as a Senior Water and Sanitation Specialist based in the Buenos Aires Office in Argentina. She holds a civil engineering degree from Los Andes University in Colombia, her home country, and a Master’s degree in Hydrology and Water Quality from Wageningen University in the Netherlands.
Her professional career has evolved around water management from different perspectives. She has worked in private engineer consulting firms both in Colombia and Argentina on flood modellin, and hydrologic data analysis, and she has also work experience in research on integrated watershed management working the CGIAR (Consultative Group in International Agricultural Research) in the “Challenge program on water and food”. Lately she has been working in water provision, sanitation, wastewater treatment, and flood management projects for the World Bank.
