Caterina Ruggeri Laderchi is a senior economist in the World Bank's Europe and Central Asia unit. She joined the World Bank in 2003, and worked on Latin America, East Asia, Africa and currently, on Eastern Europe. Her main areas of work are poverty and social inclusion, distributional impacts of different policies, particularly energy pricing, gender issues, labour markets. Caterina holds a doctorate in economics from Oxford, and worked for UNDP and the European Commission before joining the World Bank.
