Céline Ramstein is an Energy and Climate Change Specialist at the World Bank. She currently works in the energy team in Africa, particularly on energy access and renewable energy projects in West Africa. She also supports teams to integrate climate change considerations in all energy operations in Africa. She previously worked within the Climate Change department, where she led analytical work on carbon pricing, including the annual report “State and Trends of Carbon Pricing” and several publications on carbon pricing policies throughout the world. She also coordinated the World Bank’s participation in high-level projects and events (such as the “Stern/Stiglitz Commission on Carbon Prices, COP22 and COP23, and the One Planet Summit). She joined the World Bank after working as COP21 Project Manager in Paris, France, at the Institute for Sustainable Development and International Relations (IDDRI). She previously worked at the French Embassy in Washington, D.C., focusing on climate and environmental issues. She holds a Master in International Affairs from Sciences Po Paris and a Masters in Science and Technology from Université Pierre et Marie Curie, which she later complemented with a certification in Project Management, in Finance and in Renewable Energy.
