Cesar Cancho is a Senior Economist in the Poverty and Equity Global Practice. He works on issues related to poverty and welfare measurement, the distributional impact of fiscal and social policies, labor market dynamics and displacements of populations. He has led a number of different analytical and operational projects in middle and low income countries, and in FCV environments, including SCDs, PSIAs, technical assistance to NSOs and welfare telephone surveys. Prior to joining the World Bank, Cesar worked for the Peruvian Government and think tanks in Peru. He holds a PhD in Economics from Texas A&M University and a BSc from Pontifical Catholic University of Peru.
