Charles Kunaka is a Lead Private Sector Development Specialist with the Finance, Competitiveness and Innovation Practice Group of the World Bank. He works on trade facilitation, connectivity and logistics and especially on regional trade and transport integration operations and ASAs. Charles has worked across all regions of the Bank but his most recent programs have been in Africa, South East Asia and South Asia. Among other projects, Charles is leading an innovative investment operation to facilitate small scale trade in the Great Lakes Region of Africa, supporting the Ethiopia logistics sector reforms, and working on regional trade and transport projects in East Africa and South Asia. Charles has published several papers and guides on logistics, trade and transport connectivity, and regional integration. Charles has a PhD in transport economics from University College London. He is based in Addis Ababa.
